The Death of HD DVD is nigh.
Two major companies have now announced their departure from the HD DVD format: Best Buy and Netflix. Netflix has announced the phase out of HD DVD and rent only DVD and Blu Ray. Best Buy will predominantly showcase Blu Ray and will recommend Blu Ray over HD DVD.
It’s about time, a 15GB disc is nothing when its rival is a 25GB disc. It was bound to happen sooner or later.
